Dome Eventhall employs cutting-edge energy-saving measures like full LED lighting, motion sensors, and advanced HVAC systems. The complex's solar panels deliver a hefty 520 MWh yearly, powering the equivalent of 115 Brussels homes. Plus, we efficiently repurpose heat from the city’s waste-to-energy plant.

We champion eco-friendly travel with convenient access to public transport, bike racks, and electric car chargers. Just a brisk walk from the train, or step off the tram or bus at our doorstep. You can even arrive via the Waterbus.

Dome Eventhall prioritizes water conservation through the use of low-flow fixtures and water-efficient appliances. Our building complex has a 580 m3 harvesting basin that captures, filters, and treats rainwater. This repurposed water is then used in various ways within the mall, including sanitation, cleaning, and cooling.

Additionally, our landscaping incorporates grass-filled plant beds that thrive with minimal irrigation, reducing water use and chemical dependency. Our lawns are maintained with a mulching method that recycles nutrients thereby further diminishing the need for additional watering.

Dome Eventhall consistently chooses eco-friendly materials and furnishings. For example, staff clothing is Oeko-Tex STANDARD 100 certified, meaning every aspect of the product has been tested against a long list of harmful substances and found safe for human health. All printing is done with Blue Angel-certified equipment and paper, and our toiletries are CO2 neutral.

We also furnish our spaces with stylish second-hand furniture and our cleaning team only uses eco-friendly products and solutions to maintain the venue.

Our commitment to minimizing waste includes recycling stations and promoting reusable and compostable items. In partnership with Alpaca Solutions, we ensure leftover food is either distributed or converted into energy and compost.

While you have the freedom to select your suppliers, we encourage eco-friendly choices and can recommend certified sustainable partners. Our rooftop is a haven for biodiversity, hosting beehives and insect hotels that support local ecosystems.
